Introducing Joyful Parenting SF
Making parenthood the joyful experience it ought to be by building community and physical infrastructure.
Imagine: What if you could relax with a friend at your favorite café or restaurant while with your kids, because there’s a space for kids to play? What if artistic, political, literary events were designed to be attended with children so parents don't have to arrange childcare and kids can be exposed to a range of experiences? What if you didn’t have to worry about leaving a sleeping baby in the stroller while going inside a store for five minutes?
Being a parent in San Francisco can be a more joyful and less isolating experience with incremental changes that we can make now. We aim to bring together parents and allies to build community and physical infrastructure we need to fully thrive. We started with developing kids spaces for the café, workshop, and coworking space we regularly spend time at. There, we organize events for parents and children to meet and support one another in building the relationships, resources, and infrastructure we need to participate in social and civic life. People who are parent-curious or just want more little kid energy in their lives are also welcome.
Here’s how you can get involved:
